I offer both studio and outdoor sessions to suit you and your dog’s needs. Sessions at my purpose-built studio provide a calm, comfortable environment, complete with professional lighting, carefully chosen backdrops, and a selection of props to create the perfect setting. If you’d prefer to be outdoors, there are lots of options available. Every session is thoughtfully tailored to reflect your dog’s unique personality and your personal preferences.
Booking a session is easy! You can:
- Call us on 01442 773450
- Email us at info@thedogtographer.co.uk

I recommend that you book early, as our calendar can fill up quickly, especially during peak seasons.
Pawtrait sessions usually last between 1 to 2 hours, but I never rush. It’s important to me that your dog has time to settle in, feel relaxed, and enjoy the experience. Their comfort and wellbeing matter just as much as capturing beautiful photographs.
I would recommend bringing the following to ensure a smooth session:
- Your dog’s favorite toys and treats to keep them engaged and focused.
- Any special outfits, collars or accessories you’d like included in the photos.
- Plenty of water to keep your dog hydrated.
Please also bring a lead for your dog’s safety.
Here are a few tips to help ensure a smooth session:
Further information will be provided prior to your pawtrait session.
Absolutely! The bond you share with your dog is unique, and I’d love to capture that special connection. Just let us know in advance if you'd like to be part of the photos!
Not at all! I've worked with dogs of all temperaments and am experienced in helping even the most anxious pets feel at ease. We'll go at your dog's pace, allowing plenty of time for breaks and play to keep them relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.
No need to worry — I know that dogs can be unpredictable, and that’s all part of the fun! With experience and patience, I work with their natural behaviour rather than against it. In fact, some of the most memorable images come from those spontaneous, playful moments. I use a mix of gentle techniques (and plenty of treats!) to keep their attention and capture the perfect shot.
Pawtrait Sessions: Start at £149
After your session, a personalized image reveal will be scheduled where you can view the edited photos and select your favorites. Depending on your package you can choose from our selection of stunning handmade wall art, including framed prints, canvases, or premium glossy aluminum pieces to beautifully showcase your dog’s portraits.
Your bespoke wall art will be ready within 3 to 4 weeks after your session. Delivery times may vary slightly depending on the piece and shipping, but rest assured — I’ll keep you updated every step of the way, from creation to arrival.
Yes, I offer gift certificates! A dog photography session makes a truly thoughtful and personal gift for any dog lover. If you'd like to give someone special the chance to capture beautiful memories with their pup, just get in touch — I’d be happy to help you arrange it.
I completely understand that plans can change. If you need to reschedule or cancel your session, I just ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee, but I’ll always do my best to be flexible and help you find a new date that works for you.
Absolutely! While dogs are our specialty, I love working with all kinds of animals, including cats, rabbits, and other pets. Just let me know what type of pet you have, and together we’ll tailor the session to suit them perfectly.
Feel free to contact us—we’re here to help make your experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible!
